FAQ

+ What is the process for going solar?

Homeowners interested in going solar with Legion should schedule a consultation or request a quote from our network of expert solar sales partners. We are happy to recommend a company to you based on your location and preferences.

Once you have finalized the details of your solar system with a solar consultant, he or she will forward us the information and we will begin immediate work on a finalized system design and navigating city and utility approvals for your system. After we receive the necessary approvals, we can install your system!

Once final insepctions are complete, we will power on your system to start providing you with clean, affordable energy from the sun.

+ How long will my install take?

The actual installation itself is usually completed in a single day. The time between when a homeowner is ready to go solar and has signed up, and when we can come out to install, can vary depending on your local utility, permitting authority, and HOA (if you have one). Typically, we are ready to install within one to two weeks once we have secured all of the necessary approvals for your solar system.

+ What kind of system warranties does Legion provide?

Legion is currently partnered with SolarInsure, an A-rated 3rd party insurance and warranty provider that covers your system for a full 30 years. This warranty includes all workmanship, your roof, the system's annual output, as well as the panels and inverters. It is fully comprehensive, fully transferable, requires no deductibles to make a cliam, and it adds an additional layer of protection to the major manufacturer warranties that come standard with your system. Please ask your solar energy consultant for more details on how to apply.

+ What kind of inverters does Legion use?

We use APS microinverters for their superior safety, performance, and industry-leading warranty vs string inverters, like SolarEdge. Here are just a few reasons we like them:

  • Microinverters allow homeowners the flexibility to add more panels later without having to replace or add a costly centralized string inverter;
  • Microinverters provide superior performance in shade conditions versus string inverters - even string inverters with optimizers;
  • Because microinverters convert energy to AC current at the panel level, there is no high-voltage DC power on your rooftop. This substantially increases the overall safety of the system.
  • We think these combined factors make microinverters the clear choice for homeowners and responsible solar installers.

    + Can Legion provide financing for my system?

    Yes, Legion works with several finance partners who offer competitive financing solutions and specialize in solar loan and lease options. Please consult with one of our local solar sales partners for more details.
